Assist The Officer is a non-profit organization providing short-term, immediate need financial assistance for officers critically injured or disabled in the line of duty. Assist The Officer symbolizes the appreciation for every officer’s dedicated service and commitment to the safety of citizens.


In Honor of Sgt. Thomas Ladd

Retired Sergeant Thomas M. Ladd passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carol Sue Ladd. Sergeant Ladd joined the Houston Police Department on January 13, 1969, Academy Class #40. During his career with the department, he was assigned to the Southeast Division, Internal Affairs Division and the Homicide Division until his retirement on April 24, 2004. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Ladd has requested a donation to Assist the Officer in honor of her late husband.


Gary Gryder Memorial Softball Tournament

Proceeds of this tournament will be given to the Perales Family.
The youngest son of Sgt. Kim Perales and Sgt. Mike Perales is in need of our support.  Nakoa, who is just 5 years old, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia.  The family is now faced with a long-term treatment plan.  Please, join us in supporting the child of our brother and sister in blue.  In this family no one fights alone!  Please, donate below and contact Amanda Day at [email protected] for tournament information.



We Are One First Responders Softball Tournament

Join us on Saturday, May 16th for the 2nd annual We Are One First Responders Softball Tournament benefiting Assist the Officer, hosted by the HPD’s Houston Heat softball team. 2020 ATO Heroes’ Gala

Jerry Flores Golf Classic
